I feel like real estate is in my blood, growing up the son of a real estate agent and builder in Corning, New York. Since moving here in 1988, I’ve developed a reputation for being Winchester’s biggest fan. Now after 27 years of selling local real estate, I feel like my roots are firmly planted in this great community that has been so good to me. I’ve been inside almost every home in the area, and I rarely sell a property more than 20 miles from my house. Winchester has so much to offer. From the Little Theater to the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival, literally hundreds of “fun runs” and marathons, the local SPCA (I maxed out on dogs and cats, but I still help them advertise) and historic neighborhood, home and graveyard tours—Winchester has it all, and I feel blessed to be a part of … Read More about About

After our mother passed away, my sister and I were left to decide what to do with her home, either keep it in the family or sell it to someone that hopefully would love it as much as Mom did. After much deliberation, we came to the conclusion that neither of us were in a position to move that far from work and would unfortunately need to sell. We knew this meant that we would need to go through a home packed full of memories stuffed throughout all three floors of Mom’s dream home, shed, and outbuilding. Needless to say, we were both overwhelmed. My sister remembered Dallas from more than 20 years ago when he assisted our parents with a move. Although we were much younger, we both recalled how kind Dallas was and how both Mom and Dad praised his professionalism at that time. We reached out to Dallas, who agreed to meet us in just a few days’ time. During that visit, he not only expressed his condolences, but provided the direction needed to move forward. He understood that it would take time, but wanted to ensure we had the resources needed to accomplish the task at hand. During that initial visit, Dallas put us in contact with a professional organizer/cleaner to assist with the donation of unwanted items and the cleaning of the home to get it ready for showing. He also advised us on some minor repairs that could assist with the curb appeal. Once the home was officially on the market, we were notified via text regarding each new showing. The foot traffic was amazing and we soon had a valid offer. It was at this time that we were able to work with Martin in Dallas’ office. The buyer wanted several items corrected before agreeing to the sale. Again, not knowing where to turn, Martin stepped in and advised that he would handle everything and just with those few words, he took away all the pressure and stress. Martin was nothing short of amazing. He coordinated roofers, pest control, septic and water inspections. All we had to do was approve the work and Martin handled the rest. Each step forward, Martin was there to ensure we knew where items were in the process. Overall, I can’t say enough about Dallas and his team. He was there at the beginning of the process and each step of the way thereafter. I felt as though I had my own expert team working with me to ensure a successful outcome. I would encourage anyone ready to buy or sell within Dallas’ service area to use his team. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.
